Gate Operation

To gain access to the storage area of the facility you will need to enter your access code on the keypad adjacent to the appropriate door or elevator. As a reminder this number is usually a combination of your unit number and digits from your social security number followed by asterisk (*) key. If you are accessing an elevator you must enter your code on the keypad adjacent to the elevator you are using no more than about 20-30 seconds prior to the time you board the elevator and press the button for your floor. If there is a longer delay than this, you may have to enter your code again. The elevator will only take you to the floor your unit is on. When returning from your unit, the elevator will only bring you back to the lobby level. Entering your access code at the door or elevator not only gives you access to the storage area of the facility but also disarms the individual door alarm on the roll-up door of your unit. Consequently you should not follow someone else through the door or onto the elevator (i.e. "tailgating") without entering your code and we ask for the safety and security of all that you not let anyone else "tailgate in" behind you.
